Virtual Office Hours
The City is updating its Zoning Code and zoning map to be consistent with the City of Palmdale’s newly adopted General Plan, Palmdale 2045. The City’s Zoning Code establishes development regulations within the boundaries of the City and the City’s sphere of influence in a manner that is consistent with the City’s General Plan. The Zoning Code is intended to support growth in an orderly manner and promote and protect public health, safety, peace, comfort, and general welfare of the community in conformance to the General Plan.
The City team hosted two virtual office hours to answer questions about the Public Draft Zoning Map and Code. Over 30 participants attended.

Office Hours #1 (Virtual)
The first virtual office hours was held on Thursday, January 12th from 2-3:30 p.m.
Office Hours #2 (Virtual)
The second virtual office hours was held on Wednesday, January 18th from 6-7:30 p.m.
Stakeholder Interviews
The project consultant team met with four different city-identified stakeholder groups to discuss issues with the zoning code based on topics of most concern to stakeholders. The interviews were held on October 4th and 6th of 2021 and were conducted for about an hour each. During this time, each group was able to share their thoughts and identify issues pertinent to the code update.
